General Rules &
information
Reservations
Look through our list of rental properties.
Select the rental that suits your need, check availability
page and contact us via E-Mail or fax using form
provided or by phone at 800-373-1237. You will receive a
confirmation of your request to hold the property within 2
business days via e-mail or fax stating the deposit requirement.
This deposit must be received within 5 days of the
confirmation date to confirm your reservation. NOTE: DEPOSITS
NOT RECEIVED WITH 5 DAYS MAY RESULT IN THE IMMEDIATE
CANCELLATION OF YOUR RESERVATION.
Rentals begin and end on Fridays or Saturdays as noted on each
property.
We accept personal checks, payable to
Shoreline Realtors, for your confirmation deposit. For the
balance, either a cashiers check, money order, or certified
funds, written directly to the owner of the property, is
required and must be received in our office 30 days prior
to check-in.
If reserving a
property less than thirty (30) days in advance, the deposit
AND balance must be received no later than three days after
reserving the date.
Cancellations
Cancellations received thirty or more days in advance
require a 25% cancellation fee. If you must cancel with less
than thirty days’ notice there is no refund.
Security Deposit
A security deposit is held by Shoreline for each
rental period. Security deposits are refunded by mail within 30
days of your departure providing no damages or excessive
cleaning charges are incurred. If there are damages or extra
cleaning is required, charges will be deducted from the security
deposit and any balance due will be returned by mail within 30
days of your departure. When you leave, please be sure to leave
the property arranged as you found it, have all dishes washed,
clean out grill and place trash in provided dumpsters. Please be
certain to close and lock all doors and windows.
Housekeeping
Prior to your arrival, the home/cottage is cleaned
and set up with basic paper products and some cleaning supplies.
Tenants are to supplement these as necessary and maintain the
property in a clean and sanitary condition at all times. If you
are staying more than one weeks, the property will be cleaned
near the end of each week of your stay. If you are staying more
than two weeks there will be an additional cleaning charge.
Check-In /Check-Out
Check-In is between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. the day your stay
begins (Michigan time EST/EDT) at our office. Keys must be
returned no later than 10 a.m. on the day of your departure.
Late check-outs may be charged up to $150.00 which would be deducted
from the security deposit.
Regulations

Smoking is prohibited in all Shoreline
Realtors rental properties. Pets are not permitted without
prior approval. Infraction of these rules will result in
immediate eviction with no refund as well as forfeiture of the
security deposit.

Each property holds a maximum number
of people; please note the number in each property's
description. Should this number be increased by the tenants,
eviction could be immediate and with no refund.

Most Shoreline Realtors properties do
not permit parties with large groups of visitors during our
guests’ visit. Please check with Shoreline
Vacation Rentals prior to planning any gatherings.
- Comforters
and/or Blankets, Mattress covers and Pillows are provided; Bed
linens and towels are also provided in many of our units.
Hand and body soaps and other personal items are not provided.
- Telephones -
Some homes/cottages have no landline phone or hook-up for
internet. Those with landline phones may have a block on long
distance calls and 900 numbers. 911 is accessible for
emergencies. You may use a calling card for long distance
calls or you may be able to access your e-mails if your
provider has an 800 number. Some of our properties, as noted,
have high speed internet.
- Repairs:
Every effort will be made to keep appliances, etc. in good
repair. Should maintenance be necessary, we will attempt
required repairs as soon as possible after being notified of
the problem. We cannot guarantee air conditioners,
televisions, appliances and no refund or rate adjustment will
be made for mechanical failure.
- Right of
Entry: Shoreline Vacation Rentals or authorized agents may
need to enter the property for the purpose of inspection,
maintenance or real estate showings. Our best efforts will be
made to prevent any inconvenience or disruption of your
vacation.
